June 1st Art Walk & Grand Opening Weekend

On June 1st Artology celebrated our Grand Opening by opening our doors to the art crowd of Fullerton on Art Walk night.  We had been busy preparing, dreaming, and anticipating the evening by planning every detail to bring a sense of welcome, joy, and creativity.  Judging by the responses we’ve received our message was heard loud and clear!  Part gallery, part studio, part event space – Artology offers a unique experience to the city of Fullerton and surrounding area.  Friday night we celebrated with a more “gallery opening” feel and Saturday we welcomed everyone who came through the famed Mercantile Market to check out our space, meet the artists, and even participate in a “Make and Take” workshop.

Folks seemed intrigued and excited to have us around and each artist involved had a great time getting to know our community.  Check out pictures from the Art Walk event and the Mercantile Market below, and be sure to mark your calendars for the next one, scheduled for July 6th and 7th!

About Sarah Carter

Sarah Carter is the author of Ground Swell and founder of Sarah Carter Studio. After spending four years in the warm California sun – (where Sarah taught creativity workshops and exhibited her artwork in galleries, Steve served as Campus Pastor for RockHarbor Church, and their five year old son, Emerson, was secretly a super hero who worked tirelessly to keep the city safe) – the Carter family has recently relocated to the considerably colder midwest. Here Sarah continues to create in her studio and write and Steve works as Director of Evangelism at Willow Creek Community Church. Emerson still works to use his superhero powers for the common good and they eagerly await the arrival of baby Carter, due May 2013. They also just as eagerly await their little family member whom they’re adopting internationally from Ghana, West Africa.
